5 Email Flows That Pay for the Whole Program

If you’re going to build just five email automations, build these. They consistently drive 25–35% of revenue for our clients.
Email marketing has the highest ROI of any digital channel — and most businesses leave that money on the table because they only send the occasional newsletter. Here are the five lifecycle flows we build for almost every client.

1. Welcome series

A 3–5 email sequence that introduces the brand, sets expectations, and makes the first sale. This single flow typically drives 5–10% of revenue on its own.

2. Browse abandonment

Triggered when a known subscriber views a product without buying. Lower-pressure than cart abandonment and reaches a much larger audience.

3. Cart abandonment

The classic. Three emails over 48 hours — reminder, social proof, and (sometimes) an incentive. Recovers 8–12% of abandoned carts when done well.

4. Post-purchase

Most brands stop emailing the moment someone buys. That’s exactly when engagement is highest. Use this flow to drive reviews, education, and the next purchase.

5. Win-back

Targets customers who haven’t bought in 60–120 days. A surprisingly profitable segment — and a cheap way to revive otherwise lost revenue.
If your email program isn't driving at least 20% of revenue, the flows are the first place to look.
